Zambia Signs $1.1 billion Contract to Build Oil and Energy Refinement

 


Zambia has signed a landmark agreement to build a $1.1 billion crude oil refinery and energy complex marking a significant step toward energy self-sufficiency.

This project is expected to create four thousand jobs and reduce unemployment rate in Zambia 

According to the Premium Executive Point One and Presido Hakainde Hichilema;

With this infrastructural development, Zambia is reducing reliance on imported petroleum products, which cost the country over $1 billion annually. This ensures a stable, locally produced fuel supply for households, businesses, and industries”
