Mali is set to become Africa's second biggest Lithium producer in 2025, after Zimbabwe

 

Lithium is an essential component of batteries.

According to Benchmark Mineral Intelligence’s Lithium Forecast, Mali is projected to become Africa’s second-largest lithium producer in 2025, behind Zimbabwe, accounting for 14% of Africa’s mined lithium, just ahead of Nigeria at 12%.

Mali’s rise as Africa’s second-largest lithium producer in 2025 will  boost its economy through significant revenue, job creation, and infrastructure development
