Kenyan Man Builts Rocket Using Local Materials

A Kenyan man named Mark Mwithaga has built a homemade rocket using locally sourced materials and basic engineering tools and equipments.

He works from his workshop in Nakuru, and designed and built the rocket with the intentions of testing its ability to reach space or near-space altitude.

He has already conducted ground tests and is preparing for a launch soon, hoping to inspire youth and prove that space technology is not limited to developed countries.

His project has drawn interest online, though experts have raised safety and feasibility concerns. Highly anticipating to see this test.
